Sandra Bullock & Tom Hanks Wanted For Post-9/11 Movie omg

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Warner Bros. and Paramount are reportedly going after Sandra Bullock for the big screen adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foers novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, in what would be the actress first movie since her Oscar-winning performance in The Blind Side.

According to Variety, the studios have made offers to Sandra and Tom Hanks to star in the movie, set in 2003, which centers around a boy who lost his father on September 11. The boy embarks on a search across New York City to find a lock that matches a key that belonged to his father.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was one of the first American novels to use the events of 9/11 in its plot.

Director Stephen Daldry, who helmed The Reader, is reportedly attached to direct and Oscar winner Eric Roth, who penned Forrest Gump has adapted the novel.

The studio has reportedly yet to start formal negotiations with Bullock and Hanks.

On Monday, a rep from Paramount told Access Hollywood, Theyre all in talks, no deals in place. Access has also reached out to Warner Bros. for comment, but has not yet heard back anything.
