Grammy winner Faith Evans was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after being stopped at a checkpoint, the Los Angeles Police Department told TVGuide.com.
The R&B singer was arrested Saturday night at a checkpoint in Marina del Rey, Officer Cleon Joseph said. She was taken into custody and released on bail early Sunday morning, he said.
Evans, the widow of The Notorious B.I.G., spent 13 weeks in rehab in 2004 after being arrested in Atlanta and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine.
Following a five-year hiatus, Evans, 37, is set to release her new album, Something About Faith, in October. She is also working on a reality series, Its All About Faith, which will chronicle her return to music and her home life with her husband and manager, Todd Russaw, and their four children.
